Naples Area Real Estate Market Update – July 2020

Naples activity graph

The pandemic has certainly affected the national and local real estate markets, but the good news for owners in Southwest Florida is that resale homes priced competitively are selling quickly.

According to the most recent Market Report released by NABOR (Naples Area Board of Realtors), the everlasting desirability of the Naples real estate market is undeniable. While there was a temporary pause in activity caused by the pandemic during the latter part of March, and through April and May, June had the third highest number of showings behind January and February, and July showed a continued surge in real estate activity with closed sales increasing 35.4% compared to July 2019. So far, our August market looks like it will outperform August 2019 year-to-date sales.

This local data suggests that now is a very good time to sell since the decreasing supply of inventory is making it difficult to keep up with the strong buyer demand causing prices to increase with homes being on the market fewer days.
